1149 East Restaurant
Following the success of their collaboration on the 1149 Restaurant in Warwick, Rhode Island, The Food Group commissioned RGB to design a restaurant in Seekonk.
The modern design composition of horizontal elements is bisected by a dramatic vertical shale stone wall. A wealth of traditional materials, such as stacked stone, bronze framed windows and stucco were critical to the client goal of casual elegance.
Inside, patrons are greeted by a shimmery glass tile mosaic wall flanked by backlit floor-to-ceiling wine cabinets rendered in a rich walnut. A dramatic, amber colored chandelier appears to float overhead.
Midnight blue booths, cobalt-shaded pendant light fixtures, dark chocolate ceilings, and a limestone tile wall set the tone for the dining experience. A quartz stone bar sits beneath a softly glowing light box with panels of seagrass, trimmed in dark walnut.
